Claims and counter-claims on increase in voting to 66.40% in Amravati district
Maharashtra: 66.40 percent voting took place in the district for the assembly. This is a huge increase compared to the last few elections. Claims and counter-claims have started regarding the increase in voting. Although it is being speculated in political circles that the increase in voting is likely to fall in favor of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, BJP leaders are claiming that the increase in voting is due to the beloved schemes of the Mahayuti. It will be known on Saturday whether the Maha Vikas Aghadi will retain its dominance or the Mahayuti will take the lead. In this election, rebels have spoiled the calculations of political parties. It is being estimated what effect the riots in the constituencies of Badnera, Amravati, Daryapur, Morshi, Achalpur can have on the results.
The votes of Muslim and Buddhist voters are going to be important in many places. In the Amravati constituency, the Congress and the Nationalist Congress (Ajit Pawar) were eyeing Muslim votes. Since the division of Hindu votes was inevitable, both the parties made a lot of efforts to get these united votes. There were six Muslim candidates in the fray. Political observers were keeping an eye on how many votes the candidates of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) and Indian Union Muslim League got. In the Daryapur constituency, there are indications that the votes of Dalit and Kunbi voters will be decisive in the contest between Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and Ramesh Bundile of Yuva Swabhiman Party.
Many people are also keeping an eye on how much response the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi gets. In Morshi, caste equations became important in the four-cornered contest between Nationalist Congress (Sharad Pawar), Nationalist Congress (Ajit Pawar), BJP and Congress rebels. The result will show in whose favour the Kunbi votes got divided. In the Tivasa constituency, there was a contest between Congress and BJP. There is curiosity as to in whose favour the result of this contest between DMK constituents and Hindutva is going to be. The Mahavikas Aghadi was worried about how much the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi’s furore would increase in the Dhamangaon Railway constituency. Congress had suffered a setback in the last election. Bachchu Kadu, who strengthened the third alliance in the triangular contest in Achalpur constituency, contested the election in alliance with Congress and BJP. Like the last few elections, this time too the effect of caste equations was seen. There is a lot of discussion about whether the clash between BJP and Congress in Melghat will redefine the picture of the Lok Sabha elections.
