Woman molested on pretext of returning 50 rupees, youth arrested

Raigarh: A local woman had lodged a report against accused Munna Yadav in Jute Mill police station for molesting her when she was alone at home. The woman said that on July 12, her husband had gone to work in the morning. She was alone at home. At around 4:30 in the evening, Munna Yadav came and started talking obscenely and asked her to return the borrowed ₹50. When Munna Yadav came to know that her husband was not there, he started molesting her by holding her arm.

When the woman raised an alarm, Munna Yadav fled with his bike. When the woman’s husband returned home, she told him about the incident and lodged a report in Jute Mill police station. On the report, a case of molestation was registered against the accused under crime number 325/2014, section 74,75(1) of the Indian Penal Code. Immediately, the police station in-charge along with the staff raided to arrest the accused and the accused was taken into custody. The arrested accused Munna Yadav (age 30 years) has been arrested and sent on judicial remand.

Police station in-charge Jute Mill Inspector Mohan Bhardwaj, female head constable Clostika Khare and patrolling constable Sushil Yadav, Jitesh Chauhan played a major role in the investigation and arrest of the accused.
