Shamli: Farmer attacked with sticks and left half dead, condition critical

Shamli: In a fight that took place three days ago in Jhinjhana police station area, people of one side attacked the farmer of the victim side with sticks. The person was beaten badly with sticks. The video of the case is also going viral on social media. The victim side has accused the police of colluding with the accused. People of the victim side have warned of migration.

On Thursday morning, Arif son of Jabardin of Odri village had left for Shamli with his companions to bring goods for the grocery shop. Victim’s younger brother Sharib told that when he reached the crossroads of the village, a person from the village along with his companions attacked my brother and innocent son Imamuddin with sticks. My brother was beaten brutally and the accused fled leaving him in a dying condition. The family took both the injured to Oon CHC. From where, seeing the critical condition of the injured, the doctor referred them to a higher center.

He told that three days ago, his servant was beaten with sticks for asking for money for milk. When the women of the house protested against the assault, they came to the police station with a complaint about Arif’s wife being kicked in the stomach. Here the police did not take any action on their complaint and kept them sitting in the police station till late night.
The family also alleges that the police did not take any action in the case of assault in collusion with the accused party. The police say that the case is being investigated. Action will be taken against the accused.
