Major police reshuffle in Madhya Pradesh, 65 IPS and SPS officers transferred

Madhya Pradesh: The government made significant changes to the state’s police system late Saturday night with a major administrative reshuffle. A total of 65 IPS and State Police Service (SPS) officers have been transferred in this extensive transfer list. This move is being considered a significant step towards making the police administration in the state more effective and systematic.
According to the government order, officers posted in several districts and police units have been assigned new responsibilities. This reshuffle includes officers from major districts such as Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Balaghat, Dhar, Shivpuri, Khargone, Neemuch, Singrauli, Chhindwara, and Sagar. Several officers at the ACP, DSP, SDOP, CSP, and Assistant Commandant levels have been affected.
Prominent names on the transfer list include Vivek Singh Chauhan, currently serving as ACP, Malharganj, Indore. He has now been appointed as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Police Headquarters, Bhopal. Similarly, Ravi Prakash Singh Bhadoria, who was posted as Sub-Divisional Officer (SDOP) in Ambah, Morena, has been assigned the responsibility of City Superintendent of Police (CSP) in the University area of Gwalior.
Tushar Singh, posted in Indore and serving as Assistant Commissioner of Police in the Sanyogitaganj area, has been assigned the new role of Assistant Commissioner of Police in Indore Urban. This change is aimed at further strengthening the city’s policing system.
Akash Amalkar, posted at Bhopal Police Headquarters and serving as DSP, has now been assigned the responsibility of Assistant Commandant in the Hawk Force in Balaghat. Ajay Singh Rana, who was serving as Acting SDOP in Chhindwara, has been transferred to Police Headquarters Bhopal as Acting DSP.
According to government sources, this transfer process is part of a long-pending administrative reorganization aimed at increasing efficiency in the police force and strengthening law and order in the districts. Officers have been assigned new postings based on their efficiency, experience, and necessary administrative needs.
This major reshuffle involves not just a select few officers, but a wide-ranging change across various police ranges and districts across the state. New officers have been deployed, particularly in districts facing significant challenges in law and order, crime control, and administrative coordination.
Special attention has been paid to streamlining police administration in major cities like Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior. Experienced officers have been assigned to strengthen security in sensitive areas like Balaghat and Chhindwara.
Experts believe that such large-scale transfers are intended to reshape the administrative system, injecting new energy and improved operational processes into the policing system. This is also expected to improve law and order monitoring and crime control at the field level.
Following this decision by the state government, officers have been instructed to assume their new responsibilities within the police department with immediate effect. The process for new deployments has begun in all the relevant districts, and officers will soon assume their respective positions.
Thus, this major administrative reshuffle in Madhya Pradesh is being considered an important change in the police system of the state, the impact of which can be seen on law and order and administrative efficiency in the times to come.
