Rather than Santosh Deshmukh’s family, we should first work on getting justice for Ajitdada
Maharashtra: Ajitdada Pawar has been appointed as the guardian minister of Beed district. Santosh Deshmukh’s brother Dhananjay Deshmukh expressed hope that Ajitdada should first work with us to get justice for the Deshmukh community. An Aakrosh Morcha was taken out in Akola today demanding a fair investigation into the murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh and strict punishment to all the culprits. The Deshmukh family participated in this march. Santosh Deshmukh, Sarpanch of Masjog in Beed district, was murdered. The Deshmukh family has come out on the streets for justice in this case. This case should be heard in a fast track court. We demand that the government should do whatever it can to get justice to the family and the society. The system implemented by the government for investigation should work seriously.
The Chief Minister has promised us that the government will not sit quiet until the last accused in this murder case is punished, said Dhananjay Deshmukh. All the public representatives of Beed district have geared up to get justice for the Deshmukh family. He also said that he first expects justice from Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar. Santosh Deshmukh’s daughter Vaibhavi Deshmukh said, ‘I will be satisfied when my father gets justice. The whole state is demanding justice.’ Meanwhile, a Jan Akrosh Morcha was taken out from Ashok Vatika in the city to the District Collector’s Office in protest against the murder of Santosh Deshmukh and the death of Somnath Suryavanshi. On this occasion, citizens expressed their anger by holding placards in their hands. Demands like justice in both the cases and death penalty to the accused were made in the Akrosh Morcha. All religious, all party and all social organizations had taken out Jan Akrosh Morcha.
A large number of citizens along with leaders of various parties, officials, social organizations and organizations including Santosh Deshmukh’s brother Dhananjay Deshmukh, daughter Vaibhavi and son Viraj participated in this march. The participation of women was significant in the march. On this occasion, financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh was given. An assistance amount of Rs 50 thousand was given to the family of late Santosh Deshmukh on behalf of Vivek Deshmukh.
