Uttar Pradesh: The preliminary report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the theft of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been released. The report claims to have revealed several important findings regarding the security arrangements at the temple complex and the monitoring of donations. In its initial investigation, the SIT stated that it found several instances of theft based on CCTV footage and other evidence.
According to the report, the findings include the placing and subsequent removal of money in the temple bathroom. Based on CCTV footage, the SIT stated that it found strong evidence of theft approximately 70 times over a 40-day period.
However, the final confirmation of the case will only be possible after the SIT’s final report is released. The team has been given until July 15th to submit its detailed report.
Preliminary Report Submitted to the Ram Temple Trust
According to reports, the SIT’s preliminary report was also made available to officials at the Ram Temple Trust meeting. The Trust took the matter seriously and demanded an investigation.
Following this, a Special Investigation Team was formed on the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The SIT was tasked with investigating irregularities and allegations of theft related to donations at the temple.
The investigation team examined the temple complex’s security arrangements, CCTV recordings, staff activities, and other related aspects.
Critical Clues Found in CCTV Footage
The SIT’s preliminary report cites CCTV footage as the most important source. According to the report, the footage revealed certain activities that strengthened the suspicion of theft.
The investigation revealed suspicious activity recorded in certain parts of the temple complex. The report also noted that previous thefts cannot be completely ruled out.
The SIT is now conducting a detailed investigation into all these incidents to determine how long the thefts had been ongoing and how many people may have been involved.
Mention of Money Storing in the Bathroom
The preliminary report also mentions the storage of money in the temple bathroom. The investigation team, based on CCTV footage, has considered this activity a crucial part of the investigation.
The report states that activities such as the placing and subsequent removal of money were observed at intervals. However, the full extent of the matter will only become clear after the final investigation report.
The SIT is investigating the extent of negligence in matters related to donations and whether any organized irregularities were committed.
Investigation initiated based on the Trust’s complaint
The Ram Temple Trust had expressed concern about this matter. Following the Trust’s application, the state government, considering the seriousness of the matter, ordered an SIT investigation.
The investigation team was instructed to investigate all aspects impartially and prepare a fact-based report.
The SIT also gathered information from the temple administration, security personnel, and related staff. It also examined available documents and records.
Waiting for the Final Report
The SIT has submitted its preliminary report to the government, but the final report is still pending. The team has been given until July 15th to submit the final report.
The final report is expected to provide detailed information about the thefts, identify those responsible, and provide suggestions for further action.
Officials say that a conclusion will be reached only after the investigation is complete. Those found guilty will be prosecuted as per the law.
Questions Raised About the Temple’s Security
Following this incident, questions have also been raised about the security arrangements at the Ram Temple. A large number of devotees visit the temple complex, and the management of donations is a highly sensitive issue.
The temple administration and security agencies are now focusing on further strengthening the system. This could include steps such as increasing CCTV surveillance, regularly reviewing recordings, and clarifying the responsibilities of employees.
Following the release of the SIT report, all eyes are now on the final report. After the investigation is complete, it will become clear who was responsible for the thefts and the level of negligence.
The Ram Temple is one of the most important religious sites in the country, so the administration is taking matters related to donations and security very seriously.
The SIT is currently continuing its investigation, and the final report, expected by July 15, is expected to provide a complete picture of the case.
