Maharashtra: Maharashtra’s School Education Minister, Dadaji Bhuse, interacted via video call with students from the Nashik Zilla Parishad Primary School, located in Hivali Pada—a remote tribal area in Trimbakeshwar tehsil. During the interaction, he inquired about the children’s studies, their achievements, and the school’s educational environment, openly praising the arrangements in place.
The school has garnered attention for its unique educational model and continuous range of activities. The Minister particularly commended the school’s operational schedule, noting that it remains open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Throughout the year, the school regularly conducts skill development programs alongside standard educational activities.
The school’s environment differs from the traditional education system, focusing instead on practical learning. Students engage in activities such as farming, kitchen gardening, environmental conservation, labor-oriented education, and experiential learning. This approach helps children develop a real-world understanding alongside their textbook studies.
Minister Dadaji Bhuse remarked that such initiatives make education more engaging, useful, and relevant to real life. He stated that such models in rural and tribal areas could serve as an inspiration for other schools.
Teacher Keshav Gavit was also present during the video call and provided the Minister with detailed information about the school’s activities and student progress. The Minister interacted directly with the children to assess their academic standards and learning capabilities.
He encouraged the students to study regularly, cultivate a reading habit, and continuously expand their knowledge. The Minister emphasized that education should not be limited to examinations but should also strengthen life skills and practical knowledge.
The school’s operational approach has received a positive response at the local level. Villagers say that such initiatives are providing children in tribal areas with better education and new opportunities.
The school is emerging as a model where education is not confined to the classroom but is integrated with daily life and skill development.
