Man injured in bears attack in Vithura

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One sustained injury after attacked by two bears at Bonacaud in Vithura. The injured is Lala aged 58 of Kattadimukku in Bonacaud. The incident happened Thursday early morning at 4 am when Lala stepped out of his house. The bears then bit him all over his body.
When his family and neighbours came running after hearing the screams of Lala, the bears ran away to the forests. He was first taken to Vithura Taluk Hospital and then to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. The bears enter the residential area as mangoes and jackfruits are aplenty in the Bonacaud Estate.
