Jalandhar: Education officer distributed study material to flood affected children

Jalandhar: District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Lalita Arora visited the relief camps set up in the flood affected areas. Deputy District Education Officer, Elementary Education, Amandeep Sharma, District Coordinator, Text Books, Rajneesh Kumar Guliani also accompanied her. She visited the relief centre set up at Government High School Miani in Tanda, where several families have taken shelter. She met the people, listened to their problems and informed them about the efforts being made by the administration.

Among the families staying in the relief camp, she particularly encouraged the students of Government Secondary School, Abdullapur. Giving the message of keeping the flame of education burning even in adverse circumstances like floods, Arora presented books, copies, pens and other learning materials to the children. Encouraging the children, she said that they should learn from these adverse circumstances and work hard. Amandeep Sharma said, “No matter how many challenges come in life, if there is a passion to study and move forward in the mind, then no difficulty can stop you.”
