Haryana Elections: Arvind Kejriwal on the road in Pundri

Haryana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national president Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday held a roadshow in support of party candidate Narendra Sharma in Pundri, Kaithal. During the roadshow, enthusiastic supporters were seen waving AAP flags and raising slogans in his support near Kejriwal’s procession. Voting for the 90-member Haryana Assembly will be held on October 5. Counting of votes will be held on October 8 along with Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, AAP MP Sanjay Singh had said on Thursday that the key to power will be with them. Whatever the results of Haryana, this hand belongs to Arvind Kejriwal.

While campaigning in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, Sanjay Singh said, “Whatever happens in Haryana, the key to power will be in the hands of Arvind Kejriwal. Providing electricity, water, education and health facilities here is our priority. Women should be given Rs 1000 per month, people should get free electricity. Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal had accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of arresting AAP leaders on false charges. Addressing an election rally in Haryana on Wednesday, Kejriwal announced his five guarantees for the people of the state, including free electricity, free healthcare, better government schools, Rs 1,000 for women above 18 years of age and Rs 1,000 for employment.

“The prime minister thinks Kejriwal is doing too much. He needs to stop. He arrested all our party leaders. …I am roaming in Delhi, people are saying I can be anything but a ‘thief’… I fell down and said the people of Delhi will decide whether I am honest or not…” Kejriwal told Mekham constituency.
