Cleanliness and greenery efforts in Itanagar appreciated, Governor lauds Mayor’s initiative
Arunachal Pradesh: Arunachal Pradesh Governor K. T. Parnaik has praised the efforts to improve cleanliness and green environment in the capital Itanagar. He sent a message to Itanagar Mayor Likha Nan Tadar praising the improvements being made in the city.
In his message, the Governor stated that the steps taken by the Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) to maintain cleanliness and promote greenery are commendable. He said that these efforts are creating a cleaner and better environment in the city, which also impacts the quality of life of the citizens.

Governor Parnaik also cited successful models from other states for further progress. He cited the green development efforts undertaken by the “Black Cat Division” in Sikkim as an example. He stated that adopting such a model could further strengthen environmental protection and urban development in Itanagar.
The Itanagar Municipal Corporation, under the leadership of Mayor Likha Nan Tadar, has launched several initiatives in recent months, including waste management, strengthening sanitation, and increasing the city’s green cover.
