Narayanpur: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign by planting a Peepal tree in Buddha Jayanti Park, New Delhi on 5 June 2024. Showing the similarity between Mother Earth for the nourishment of nature and our mothers for the nourishment of human life, Prime Minister Modi has called upon people around the world to plant a tree as a symbol of love, respect and honor towards their mother and pledge to protect Mother Earth.
Under this, a grand tree plantation was organized by sand mine operator Shuk Kumar Nishad on August 14, in which SDM Vasu Jain, Mining Officer Daleshwar Yadav, Mining Inspector Someshwar Sinha and small children of Anganwadi planted trees in village Bhatpal and distributed fruits to Anganwadi children.
