Female drugs smuggler arrested

Guwahati. Police arrested a female drug smuggler during an operation in Amatola settlement of Burnihat in the Assam-Meghalaya border area. STF said that in the operation conducted under the leadership of Inspector Kapil Pathak, drug smuggler Sabina Giri (32 Amatola) was arrested from Amatola Basti of Burnihat area of Sonpur police station area.

The arrested accused had hidden heroin, ten small plastic medicine boxes, one henny box, Rs 12,400 in cash, six stolen mobile phones, 5 serials and 18 empty small plastic boxes in a soap box. has been restored. The drug smuggler’s heroin content was estimated to be approximately 70.5 grams.

The STF team handed over the arrested accused to Sonpur Police. The police have registered the first case under NDPS in this regard and are interrogating the arrested woman.
