Pratapgarh. A 6 year old child was attacked by a dog in Pratapgarh city. The dog badly injured the child’s hand. The family took the injured child to the city government hospital for treatment. Where doctors had to put nine stitches on his hand.
The child’s father Gaurav Paliwal (35), who lives in Gaba Ji Ka Bada on Krishi Mandi Road in the city, told that his 6-year-old son Mitesh Paliwal was playing outside the house today (Tuesday) at around 3 pm. Meanwhile, a dog roaming in the street attacked him. Seeing the dog attack, the neighbors tried to save it, but it did not release the child’s hand from its jaws.
Gaurav told that the dog held the child’s hand for about 15 minutes. After much effort by the neighbours, the dog was freed from his hands. The child’s hand was bloody. He was immediately taken to the government hospital in Pratapgarh. Colony residents Laxman Pancholi and Himmat Jain said that we informed the city council and councilor about this several times, but no one is ready to take care. Herds of stray dogs roam on the streets in the morning and evening. They attack children and people playing outside together.
