The relatives of the prisoners lodged in the jail have made this allegation. They have written a letter to the Chief Justice demanding an investigation and strict action against the culprits. It is being told that the convict of the famous Virat kidnapping case has been made a numberdar by bypassing the rules. Through which money is collected. The relatives have claimed that the accused of the kidnapping case Anil Singh is under the protection of Jail Superintendent Khomesh Mandavi.
It has been told in the letter that, in the jail, a packet of bidi worth 10 to 15 rupees costs 200 rupees. A packet of tobacco worth Rs 5-10 is easily available for Rs 100, a zipper of ganja for Rs 500 and a Nitra tablet for Rs 100. This illegal extortion business is run by Nambardar Anil Singh.
