Chandan Nagar: Cyber awareness program; women informed about their legal rights.

Madhya Pradesh: A special awareness program for women and adolescent girls was organized in light of the rising cybercrimes and online threats in the digital age. Held at the Digital Learning Center in Chandan Nagar under the ‘Samvadini Project’ of the organization ‘AAs’, the program aimed to raise awareness about digital safety within the community.
During the event, women and adolescent girls were provided with detailed information regarding cybercrime, online safety measures, and their legal rights. According to the organizers, the primary objective of this initiative was to familiarize participants with ways to stay safe on digital platforms and to alert them about protecting themselves against cyber threats.
In this session—conducted under the ‘Samvadini Project’ by AAs (Association AAs)—experts highlighted the risks emerging alongside the increasing use of digital mediums. The program also explained how one can avoid cybercrimes by remaining vigilant on social media and online platforms.
Sub-Inspector Shivam Thakkar and Legal Advisor Archana Gosar addressed the participants as keynote speakers. They provided detailed information on various types of cybercrimes, such as online fraud, fake profiles, cyberbullying, and digital harassment.
The officials emphasized that digital safety is crucial for women and adolescent girls today, given the rise in cases of misuse on online platforms. They also stressed the importance of measures such as using secure passwords, exercising caution when sharing personal information, and avoiding suspicious links.
Additionally, Legal Advisor Archana Gosar provided information on legal provisions regarding violence and harassment against women. She explained that the law offers various safeguards for victims and emphasized the importance of filing timely complaints.
The program also covered how to file an immediate complaint in the event of a cybercrime and which government portals and helpline services can be utilized. Participants were also given practical tips to enhance their digital awareness.
The organizers stated that such programs play a vital role in boosting digital literacy in society and empower women—both in rural and urban areas—to use digital platforms safely. At the conclusion of the event, participants had their queries addressed during the Q&A session and described the initiative as useful. The organizers pledged to continue conducting such awareness programs in the future.
Overall, the event held in Chandan Nagar proved to be a significant step towards raising awareness among women and adolescent girls about staying safe in the digital world.
