Durg: Under the direction of SP Jitendra Shukla and under the leadership of Satish Thakur, Satanand Vidyaraj, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, the traffic police, while conducting a campaign against vehicles parked in no parking areas, today, action was taken against heavy vehicles parked under National Highway and Canal Road, over bridges by highway patrolling, which obstruct the road and public paths. Action was taken against the drivers present at the time of action under the Motor Vehicle Act and online challan of those vehicles whose drivers and conductors were not found present was sent on mobile.
Similarly, locks were put on vehicles parked in no parking areas from Rajendra Park Chowk to Green Chowk and two-wheelers parked in no parking areas in Surya Mall area were lifted by crane and brought to the traffic headquarters and locks were put on four-wheelers. The drivers who came to pay the challan were also given instructions for the future. In the last 7 months, Durg Traffic Police took action against a total of 2998 drivers under the Motor Vehicle Act.
