3,011 trainees passed out from INS Chilka; 2,746 Agniveers successfully completed their training.

Odisha: An important passing out parade for the Indian Navy was conducted at INS Chilka, Odisha in which a total of 3,011 trainees passed out successfully. These included 2,746 Agniveers, including 116 women Agniveers. Along with this, 265 sailors of the Indian Coast Guard also completed their training.
According to the information given by the Indian Navy, all the trainees successfully completed 16 weeks of rigorous and disciplined training. This training was given with the aim of preparing them mentally and physically for the challenges of naval service. During this training they were given information about various aspects related to maritime safety, discipline, physical fitness and technical skills.
The Navy said that this passing out parade organized on June 12 has marked the beginning of a new journey for the recruits. Now all these trainees have become a part of the Indian Navy and Coast Guard as disciplined, motivated and professionally trained personnel. These soldiers will now be deployed to protect the country’s maritime borders and various naval responsibilities.
The grand parade was inspected by Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsyayan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, as the Chief Guest. Many senior naval officers were also present with him. The parade was conducted by Station Commander of INS Chilka, Commodore B. Deepak Anil did it.
Many distinguished ex-servicemen, senior officers, distinguished guests and family members of the passing out trainees were also present on the occasion. The presence of family members made this program even more emotional and proud. During the parade, the soldiers displayed excellent discipline and coordination, seeing which the people present got excited.
INS Chilka is considered to be the major training center of the Indian Navy, where every year a large number of youth receive training for naval service. This institute provides initial training to recruits and prepares them for future maritime challenges.
This time’s passing out ceremony is also considered special because a large number of women firefighters have successfully completed the training, which shows the increasing participation of women in the Indian Navy.
Overall, this event is being seen as an important achievement for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, in which the newly trained personnel have taken their first step towards serving the country.
