Nuapada: In a tragic incident, a youth was killed as a speeding truck crushed the bike he was riding in Nuapada district of Odisha on Thursday. The accident took place near the Petrol Pump in Udyanbandh area on the National Highway number 353.
The deceased biker has been identified as Alekha Baghel of Kumutimunda.
As per reports, the youth was going in his bike when a speeding truck approached from the opposite side and hit the bike. As a result the youth was killed on the spot.
After witnessing the accident the locals rushed to the spot and informed Police. They blocked the National Highway 353 and demanded compensation for the next of the kin of the deceased.
After getting information Komna Police reached the spot and tried to talk to the protestors. By the time this report was written the road block had not been lifted.
