Wrong injection, vomiting blood, pregnant woman dies
Janjgir-Champa. A pregnant woman died in the district due to wrong injection. The deceased was 20 years old and was 4 months pregnant. After the FIR, the police have arrested the accused quack doctor Dhruvanto Sikdar.
The incident is from Navagarh police station area. According to the information, Rukhmani Kashyap of Hiragarh (Turi) village had been complaining of pain in her hands and legs for a few days. Meanwhile, on the night of 1 September 2024, around 9-10, when the pain started increasing, the family called a nearby doctor.
The family called Doctor Dhruvanto Sikdar of Siud village. He reached home and examined and went away after giving an injection. After this, the woman’s health started deteriorating further. Along with high fever, cough and bleeding started from the nose and mouth.
When the woman’s condition deteriorated, the family took her to Navagarh CSC Hospital for treatment. Where the doctors declared the woman dead after examination. On receiving the information, a case was registered at Navagarh police station and the body was sent for postmortem.
