Woman murdered at MNREGA work site, youth arrested for murder due to old rivalry

Mohla. The Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh outpost police have solved the murder case of a woman within 24 hours. The accused has been arrested in the incident that occurred while she was working at the Rauttola pond in Pandravani village. Preliminary investigations indicate an old rivalry as the motive for the murder.
The incident occurred on February 15th at the Rauttola pond in Pandravani village, where deepening work was underway. During the incident, a woman was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon. She died on the spot due to a deep wound on the back of her neck. Considering the seriousness of the case, Superintendent of Police Yashpal Singh immediately ordered the formation of a team. Under the guidance of senior officers, the team comprising Station House Officer Inspector Ashwani Rathore and Outpost House Officer Ganesh Yadav arrived at the scene and began the investigation.
On the complaint of the deceased’s son, Ashok Kumar Yadav (25), a case was registered against the accused, Nilesh Kumar Yadav (20), under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code. Initial police investigations revealed a long-standing rivalry between the accused and the deceased’s family, which led to the crime. Police surrounded the area and detained the accused, Nilesh Kumar Yadav. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime, following which he was formally arrested and his family was informed. The accused was produced in court and sent to jail on judicial remand.
The Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Police Station administration stated that maintaining law and order is their priority. This swift action makes it clear that perpetrators of crime will not be spared. The entire staff of Patan Khas Station was commendable in this successful operation. The body has been handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination, and the investigation is ongoing.
