VSSUT Professor faces suspension over unusual misconduct

Sambalpur: A Professor of the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology has reportedly been suspended over a unusual misconduct. The said professor is an Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities.

The professor who faced suspension has been identified as Dr. Jayaprakash Paramguru.

As per the suspension letter he was suspended on charges of coming to the office in an intoxicated state, not taking classes and sleeping in the classroom in an inebriated state.

The suspended Professor will not be allowed to teach during this suspension period. However, he has been ordered to come to the Department every day and register his attendance twice a day using biometrics, except on holidays.

Similarly, during this suspension period he will not be allowed to go on leave without the permission of the Vice Chancellor.

Reportedly, some female colleagues had complained against him for coming to the Department in an inebriated state.

After taking charge as the new Vice Chancellor, Professor Deepak Kumar Sahu is taking various actions for negligence in work.
