Vivo has launched two new Y series smartphones in its home-market i.e. China. The devices are Vivo Y50m 5G and Vivo Y50 5G and both are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. The Vivo Y50m 5G and Vivo Y50 5G are targeted for mid-range smartphone buyers.
While the Vivo Y50m 5G starts with 6GB + 128GB variant and goes up to 12GB + 256GB variant, the Vivo Y50 5G starts with 4GB + 128GB variant and goes up to 12GB + 256GB variant. The devices are offered in Azure, Diamond Black and Platinum colour options. They are sold through Vivo China store.
Specifications
The Vivo Y50m 5G and Vivo Y50 5G get 6.74-inch (720×1600 pixels) display with peak brightness of 1000 nits. The refresh rate is up to 90Hz. The devices offer 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipsets along with up to 12GB RAM and onboard storage of 256GB.
In terms of camera, the Vivo Y50m 5G and Vivo Y50 5G offer 13MP primary rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, the device gets a 5MP selfie camera for receiving video calls and clicking selfies.
Connectivity options of the devices include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, 3.5mm jack, and USB Type-C port. Other features include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, infrared and much more.
The Vivo Y50m 5G and Vivo Y50 5G offer a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. There is IP64-rated against dust and water resistance. Both devices get a massive 6000mAH battery and 44W fast charging. Dimensions of the devices are 167.30×76.95×8.19mm while the weight is 204g (approx.).
