Vicious people cheated a woman of Rs 68 thousand in the name of gift

Kullu. A woman from a village in Parvati Valley under police station Bhuntar was victimized by thugs. These vicious people cheated about Rs 68 thousand from the woman. After this, they started demanding another Rs 2.5 lakh from the vicious woman.

Now the miscreants have talked about settling for Rs 1 lakh and said that instead of Rs 2.25 lakh, deposit only Rs 1 lakh in the account. The woman has now stopped depositing money in the account of the miscreants and has complained to the police. According to the police, this case came to Bhuntar police station on Thursday. Police have recorded the statement of the woman. The phone numbers and Google Pay numbers of the miscreants have also been informed to the police.

The woman told the police that first a thug called her and that her parents had died in a road accident. He is single and lives in England. The swindler tricked the woman by giving her the status of a mother and said that he was sending her a gift from England.

She also sent photos and videos of gift shopping and the mall. After this, the work of this miscreant was over and after two days other miscreants started working and said that a gift has come from you and on checking this gift it contains gold, iPhone and other valuable things. All this stuff is worth lakhs of rupees. It will cost money to enter India.

The miscreants took about Rs 16 thousand from the woman by sending her Google Pay number. Later about Rs 52 thousand more were taken in installments. After this, earlier they were demanding Rs 2 lakh and now they are demanding Rs 1 lakh.

Now the police has blocked this number in the woman’s phone and has also instructed her not to fall prey to such people and not receive such fake calls. Police have started investigating the matter. Whereas SP Kullu Sakshi Verma said that such a complaint has been received and investigation has been started on it. The bank accounts into which the money has gone are being traced.
