South Korea’s leading automobile manufacturer Hyundai Motor India has officially launched its new SUV Hyundai Bayon in the Indian market. The company has kept the starting ex-showroom price of this new car at Rs 9,99,900. The special thing is that Bayon will be manufactured in India only and will also be exported from here to more than 50 countries of the world. The new SUV has been introduced with modern design, artificial intelligence based technology, powerful petrol engine and advanced safety features. In Hyundai’s lineup, this car will make its place in the segment around the popular Creta.
How much does Hyundai Bayon cost?
Hyundai Motor India launched the Bayon on 26 October 2026 at an event held in Gurugram. The company has set its starting price at Rs 9.99 lakh, while the ex-showroom price of the top variant goes up to Rs 17.99 lakh.
These are introductory prices. The on-road price of the car may be higher due to registration, road tax and insurance in different cities.

Powerful 1.5 liter petrol engine will be available
In the new Hyundai Bayon, the company has given a 1.5 liter four-cylinder MPi petrol engine. This engine produces maximum power of 115 PS and torque of 143.8 Newton meters.
The company has introduced this car with two transmission options. The first is a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the second is an Intelligent Variable Transmission i.e. iVT automatic gearbox. The automatic variant has driving modes like Eco, Normal and Sport with paddle shifters. Apart from this, features like Dash Boost Mode and Sporty Drive Technology are also available, which aims to improve acceleration and driving response as per the need. For the first time, Generative AI Voice Assistant will be available.
The biggest feature of the new Bayon is its modern AI based system. Hyundai has provided a built-in generative AI voice assistant in this car. Perplexity’s intelligence and SoundHound AI’s voice technology have been used in this technology. The driver sitting in the car can control various features with his voice. According to the company, there are more than 500 embedded voice commands available in it. These commands can be used in Hindi, English, Hinglish, Tamil, Bengali and Telugu languages. Internet connection will not be required to control many features. This may reduce the need to repeatedly touch the screen while driving.
Two big screens will be available on the dashboard
The cabin of Hyundai Bayon is also equipped with modern technology. It has a curved panoramic display with two 12.3-inch screens. One screen works as a digital instrument cluster, while the other is used for infotainment. Apart from this, Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car technology has been provided in the car, which offers more than 70 connected features. The company has also provided the facility of over-the-air updates. Through this, some electronic systems and software related features of the car can be updated.
Panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats
Comfort and premium experience have also been taken care of in the new SUV. Panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, modern infotainment system and many connectivity features are available in selected variants. Talking about design, the car has parametric front grille, LED headlamps, connected LED tail lamps and alloy wheels up to 17 inches.
Its attractive body design and high seating position is tailored for both city and highway travel. However, not all features are available in every variant. Customers must get information about the features according to the variant before purchasing.
23 ADAS features for safety
Even in terms of safety, Hyundai Bayon has been introduced with modern technology. The company has developed it on the Global K Enhanced Platform. According to Hyundai, this platform has been developed keeping in mind the robust structure in accordance with Indian safety standards.
Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 Pro ADAS is available in the new SUV, which has 23 driver assistance features. These features have been designed to assist the driver in various situations while driving. However, the company has said that it has been developed keeping in mind the five-star safety standards. This should not be equated with receiving a five-star rating in an independent crash test.
You can buy new Bayon in 10 colors
Hyundai has introduced its new SUV in 10 exterior color options. These include colors like Titanium Black, Classy Blue, Atlas White, Fiery Red, Golden Bronze and Ecotronic Grey. Apart from this, a dual-tone option with black roof in Atlas White and Fiery Red has also been given. For customers who want a different look, Titanium Black Matte and Classy Blue Matte colors have also been made available.
