‘Veterinary Unit’ will reach the doorstep of cattle farmers, former MLA will get treatment on one call
Bundi: Animal farmers in the district will now be able to get the benefit of veterinary services sitting at home. On Saturday, former MLA Ashok Dogra and District Collector Akshay Godara inaugurated mobile veterinary service vehicles (‘Veterinary Unit’) in a function organized at the Government Veterinary Hospital.
Former MLA and District Collector flagged off 8 mobile veterinary units being operated in the district for the protection and promotion of cattle and livestock. In the program, Suresh Aggarwal, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Ramlal Meena, Dr. Om Prakash Meena, Councilor Mahavir Meena, Rajiv Sinha, Shankar Lal Meena, Vice Chairman of District Animal Cruelty Prevention Committee Balbhadra Singh Hada, Vice Chairman Purushottam Pareek, Vitthal Sanadhya, Public representatives and distinguished citizens including Ramesh Singh were present.
During this, the former MLA said that mobile veterinary clinic vehicles will prove to be a milestone in the accomplishment of the concept of ‘Healthy Livestock-Advanced Rajasthan’. He said that now livestock will be able to get treatment facilities in the district by making a call to number 1962.
Animal owners will be able to get their animals treated sitting at home
Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Ramlal Meena said that the Central Government has started the facility of Mobile Veterinary Unit to provide treatment facility to the cattle rearers of the state sitting at their homes, where the cattle rearers will get the facility of treatment at their doorstep. These vehicles have been made fully equipped with medical facilities. On receiving a call from the cattle herders, the vehicle will reach their homes. He informed that 8 mobile veterinary units have been started in the district, in each of which a total of 3 people will be present, where there will be a veterinarian, 1 veterinary worker and a driver.
He said that 8 lakh 93 thousand 100 livestock of the district will be able to get treatment facilities through 1962-Mobile Veterinary Service. These include 193509 cow lineage, 325032 buffalo lineage, 306938 goat lineage, 55969 sheep lineage and 11652 sheep lineage. From Monday to Saturday, 2 camps each will be organized regularly in different Panchayats and villages as per their route chart in all the Panchayat Samitis of the district.
