Kapurthala: Two people died when a car collided with a parked truck near Hambowal village on Jalandhar-Amritsar GT Road. While three people including a woman have been seriously injured, who are undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Jalandhar. Confirming this, SHO Hardeep Singh of Subhanpur Police Station said that both the vehicles have been seized and a case has been registered against unknown people. While the bodies of both the deceased are in the mortuary of Kapurthala Civil Hospital.

His entire family and his friend Rajinder Kumar alias Mintu attended the party at night. Ram Prakash’s son Maqsudan of Bulandpur police station was also with him in the Swift car and he had gone to Amritsar in his friend’s Swift car to join the marriage procession.
On February 1, around 1:30 am, when he was going home after a wedding, his car was carrying his wife Neetu, son Ruhaan and his friend Rajinder Kumar alias Mintu’s Swift, his cousin Rahul, son of Bhupinder Singh. . The front driver of the car, he was sitting next to the car seat and his father Dalbir, his cousin sister Rhea and her son Himax were sitting behind the car, which was being driven by his friend. When he reached Dhilwan toll plaza at around 2.30 in the morning, there was a truck standing near the pump on GT Road near village Hambowal, whose driver had parked the truck wrongly on GT Road and there was no sign board on it. . Then the Swift car of his friend Rajinder Kumar alias Mintu collided with a truck parked on the road. The truck driver ran away after the accident. Then he stopped his car and saw that his cousin Rahul was sitting in front of the car of his son Bhupinder and his friend Rajinder Kumar Mintu. Meanwhile, his father Dalbir Singh and Rahul Kumar died in the accident and his friend Rajinder Kumar alias Mintu, his sister Riya and son Himax were seriously injured.
Those injured in the incident were taken to a private hospital in Jalandhar for treatment and the dead were kept in the mortuary of Kapurthala Civil Hospital. In this regard, Subhanpur police station has registered a case and started further action and has taken both the vehicles into custody.
