Two members of Bali gang arrested

New Delhi. Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested two active members of the dreaded Neeraj Bawana and Naveen Bali gang, who were involved in several cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery and Arms Act etc. The duo were identified as Subeg Singh alias Shibbu (32) and Saurabh alias Gaurav (32) and were wanted in a case of attempt to murder registered at Lajpat Nagar police station. Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) H.G.S. Dhaliwal said that for the past few months, a police team from the unit had been working to trace and arrest members of the Neeraj Bawana-Naveen Bali gang. Dhaliwal said, “On January 3, special information was received that two wanted criminals of this gang would come to Munirka area to meet their associates. A trap was laid there and both were caught.”

The Special CP further said that there has been a long standing rivalry between Kapil Panwar and Neeraj Bawana/Naveen Bali gang to establish supremacy in the South Delhi area. The Special CP said, “Also the Neeraj Bawana-Naveen Bali group has recruited new and young members, thus making the gang one of the most deadly gangs in Delhi/NCR. “In order to gain dominance over the Kapil Panwar gang, accused Subeg and Saurabh attacked Rohit Singh (a financier) in Lajpat Nagar area on November 3, 2023 and beat him brutally.” Both of them fired several rounds targeting Rohit Singh, but fortunately he narrowly escaped. However, one of the bullets fired by the attackers hit an unidentified person. The Special CP said, “Subeg has previously been involved in half a dozen criminal cases in Delhi including murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion, Arms Act etc. “His associate Saurabh is also involved in half a dozen heinous criminal cases in Delhi.”
