Truck burnt to ashes due to over hit, driver narrowly escaped

Korba. A massive fire broke out in a soil loaded truck in the Kusmunda mine of the district in the early hours of Thursday morning. After the fire, the driver somehow saved his life by jumping from the truck. No clear information has been received yet about the cause of the fire. After a lot of effort, the fire in the truck was brought under control. Prima facie the fire is being said to be caused by over hit.

According to the information, the contract company employed in Kusmunda mine does the work of Godavari Over Burden, under which the soil is cut from the mine and dumped in the dumping yard. A fire broke out in the cabin of a truck engaged in similar work in the early hours of Thursday morning. Within no time the fire engulfed the entire cabin.

The driver saved his life by jumping from the truck. The flames were so fierce and huge that they could be clearly seen from a distance. Other truck drivers present at the spot informed the Godavari Company officials about the fire. After some time, the team reached the spot to extinguish the fire, by then all the items except the iron box were burnt to ashes.
