Janjgir-Champa. In village Kamrid of Janjgir-Champa district, a speeding tractor driver hit Kumari Chanchal Kewat, a student who was going to appear for school examination on a bicycle. Due to serious injuries, the student was immediately taken to Pamgarh Hospital for treatment, where the doctor declared her dead after examination. The tractor driver has fled from the spot after the accident. This incident took place in Pamgarh police station area. According to the information, Chanchal Kevat, a resident of Devraghat, was a class 9 student in village Tanaud, a short distance away from the village. Like every day, today on Saturday, she had left her home on a bicycle to appear for the school examination. During this time one of her friends also supported her. Both were going on their respective bicycles.
Both the girl students reached village Kamrid around 9.30 am. Then, while driving carelessly, the driver of the tractor coming from the front at high speed hit the playful boatman going on a bicycle, due to which she fell away. Chanchal had suffered a serious head injury due to the fall. A crowd of people gathered there, forcing the tractor driver to leave the tractor and run away from the spot.
After receiving the information, the family members reached the spot and took her to Pamgarh Hospital for treatment, where the doctor declared Chanchal dead. On receiving the information, the police reached the hospital, took the body in their custody, conducted Panchnama, conducted post-mortem and handed over the body to the family members. There is anger among the family members of Chanchal Kevat regarding the incident. Family members say that if action had been taken against the sand mafia on time, this accident would not have happened. Sand is being mined illegally from the sand ghat. Due to this, there is movement of big vehicles at high speed day and night. This is the reason why the accident happened. Even after complaining about this, appropriate action is not being taken on time by the public representatives and officials. Due to which accidents keep happening. At present, Pamgarh police station has registered a case against the accused tractor driver and is searching for the accused. The tractor was confiscated from the spot and taken to the police station.
