Prayagraj: The last day of UP Board’s high school and intermediate examinations is on Saturday. More than 2 lakh candidates will appear in the examination in both the shifts. The board also reviewed its preparations for the examination during the Shivratri holiday on Friday. The examination so far has been completed successfully. UP Board’s high school and intermediate examinations started from February 22 and will continue for a total of 16 days till March 9. There was a gap of several days during the examination. On Saturday, in the first shift high school, the examination of Gujarati, Urdu, Punjabi etc. subjects will be held at 3,409 centers and the examination of Intermediate vocational category subjects will be held at 1,091 examination centers.
Of these, a total of 95,983 candidates are registered, including 63,508 in high school and 32,475 in intermediate. In the second shift, the examination of Electrician, Disaster, Management, Solar System, Repair and Plumber subjects will be held at one center and the examination of Intermediate subjects of Sanskrit and Agriculture section will be held at 5,613 centres. A total of 1,27,978 candidates, including 37 high school candidates and 1,27,941 intermediate candidates, are registered. 2,23,924 candidates are registered in both the shifts. It is noteworthy that a total of 55,25,308 candidates were registered in the examination. In this, there were 29,47,311 candidates in high school and 25,77,997 candidates in intermediate. Board Secretary Dibyakant Shukla said that work continued in the board office regarding the preparation for the March 9 examination. Along with this, work regarding evaluation has also started.
