Thiruvottiyur Highway will be renamed Vallalar: CM announces.
Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has announced that the Chennai-Thiruvottiyur highway will be renamed ‘Vallalar Highway’.
In this regard, he posted on his ‘X’ account on Sunday: “Vallalar’s glory is being celebrated as the DMK government observes Vallalar’s birthday as a special day of compassion, a three-day Vallalar festival is celebrated annually, and the house where Vallalar lived in Marudhur is being renovated.”
Following this, an International Vallalar Conference will be held on the 15th at the Ekambaranathar School campus in Kilpauk, Chennai, to share Vallalar’s noble ideals with people from abroad.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin also stated that he is happy to announce that, at the request of the Vallalar community, the Thiruvottiyur highway will be renamed ‘Vallalar Highway’.
