B. Chandrasekhar Urges Ban on Single-Use Plastic, Highlights Environmental Crisis

Nilgiri, April 22: Keeping in mind that due to single-use plastic, along with poverty, nature is facing a major disaster, Nalgonda District Collector B. Chandrasekhar has called on everyone to ban single-use plastic. On Wednesday, to commemorate the “International Mother Earth” Day, the District Youth Services and Sports Development Department organized a cycle rally from Kendriya Vidyalaya near Nalgonda district center to the Collector’s office by hoisting the flag at Kendriya Vidyalaya. Later, addressing the students, the Collector said that the world is in great danger due to single-use plastic, which is causing air, water and land pollution. He said that human mistakes and disputes have created danger not only for humans but also for wildlife. He said that plastic is not composted after use, which is destroying the earth and nature, and to get rid of this, everyone has the responsibility to plant trees on a large scale and protect the environment.
He said that in addition to planting and protecting trees, it is everyone’s responsibility to focus on reducing the use of plastic, reusing it if used, and recycling it, and that this slogan should reach every household. Only then will we be able to save the earth and nature. As part of the single-use plastic ban, everyone should use cotton hand bags when going out or to the market, use steel or clay bottles instead of plastic water bottles, and avoid using plastic material, and awareness should be created on this issue everywhere. As part of the state government’s ambitious Public Administration and Progress Plan, a large-scale campaign should be organized on the issue of banning single-use plastic everywhere to save nature. On the occasion of “International Mother Earth Day”, everyone should remember the mother who is the embodiment of the earth. Everyone should try to save nature, only then will we be able to live the beautiful life we ​​want.
