New Delhi (IANS) | Delhi Police has registered a case after a video of a dog being beaten to death with sticks by a group of people in Karol Bagh went viral. A video of the incident, which is circulating on social media platforms, shows a group of 8-10 persons armed with sticks, two to three men mercilessly thrashing the dog until it didn’t die
Delhi Women’s Commission chief Swati Maliwal has demanded strict action against the culprits.
Taking to Twitter, he said, “An innocent dog was mercilessly beaten with sticks and killed in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area. Seeing this video broke my heart. Can you tell who is human and who is animal in this situation? Strict action should be taken against these criminals.
According to the police, a case has been registered on the basis of a complaint by a social worker.
A senior police officer said, investigation into the matter and efforts are on to identify and arrest the accused persons.
