Officials said security forces busted a terrorist hideout in Kathua district on Wednesday and recovered two hand grenades.
They said the hideout was discovered following information from Haji Latif, an overground worker in the upper reaches of Billawar.
Officials said Latif, a resident of Rabag, was arrested on July 2. He is accused of facilitating the infiltration of more than a dozen terrorists from across the border over the past few years, and police and other security agencies are jointly interrogating him.
They said his interrogation revealed that he was in constant touch with terror handlers across the border.
Meanwhile, the Border Security Force arrested a suspect from the border village of Bobiya in the Hiranagar sector on Wednesday. Officials said the man identified himself as Prem (45) and was handed over to the police for questioning.
