Telangana: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy issued a stern warning on Wednesday, stating that strict action would be taken against any leader found failing to adhere to party directives regarding the implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made this statement during a crucial meeting with party leaders. Held via Zoom, the meeting involved a detailed discussion on issues related to the SIR campaign and election preparations.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed ministers, MLAs, MPs, and constituency in-charges to discharge their duties with utmost vigilance and responsibility throughout the electoral process. He emphasized that monitoring the voter list is critical and that any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister expressed particular concern over reports suggesting that the names of genuine voters might be removed from the electoral rolls. He noted that such a situation could undermine the democratic process and prove detrimental to the party.
Revanth Reddy asserted that the SIR campaign is a serious matter and cannot be treated lightly. He remarked that the negligence shown by some leaders regarding this process is unacceptable.
He further stated that if the party suffers any harm, the leadership would not remain a passive spectator but would take necessary action.
The Chief Minister directed all office-bearers to conduct a thorough review of the voter lists in their respective areas and ensure that no eligible voter is left out. He also emphasized the need to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level.
