TDP MP Kanakmedla Ravindra Kumar said this regarding CM’s silence on unemployment.

Amaravati: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar has taken a dig at Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy over the organization of a 47-day long sports festival in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

“If the chief minister is interested in the youth, then why is he silent on the rising unemployment rate,” Kumar said.

Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the 47-day sports festival Aadhudam Andhra at Loyola Public School grounds in Nallapadu in Guntur district on December 26. During the launch, the Chief Minister said that Aadudam is for the help and benefit of Andhra youth.

Meanwhile, the TDP MP said, ‘If the Chief Minister is interested in the youth, then why is he silent on the rising unemployment rate?’
He further questioned Jagan Reddy as to why he did not take measures to prevent industrial decline in Andhra Pradesh.
“The youth are suffering under the misgovernance of the Jagan Reddy government and are taking their lives because they do not have access to the basic necessities of survival,” he said.

“During the TDP regime, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu allocated 0.18% of the budget for sports development, while Jagan Reddy allocated only 0.09%. He has launched Aadudam Andhra just 3 months before his tenure ends. This is ‘Andhra Tho Adukovadam’. That means playing with the people and youth of Andhra Pradesh”, he said.

The leader assured that more employment and self-employment opportunities would be created for the youth if the TDP government is formed in the state.
