Tata Motors does not confirm JLR profit target

New Delhi New Delhi: India’s leading auto maker Tata Motors on Tuesday did not confirm profit target for its premium car brand Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). The move comes amid uncertainty caused by US tariffs, which have forced not only Tata Motors but several global auto makers to revise or withdraw their forecasts.
The 25% duty on all foreign-made vehicles imposed last month under US President Donald Trump could impact JLR’s fastest-growing market, the US. JLR, however, claimed to have achieved its EBIT margin target of 8.5% for the financial year ended March but decided to refrain from confirming a 10% margin for the current financial year.
