Raipur. Swarna Prashan was administered to 1012 children for enhancing immunity, protecting against respiratory diseases, and increasing the memory power of children in Government Ayurved College Hospital on Tuesday. The administration of Swarna Prashana will be conducted from 9 am to 3 pm in the Kaumarbhritya (Pediatrics) Department of the hospital on every Pushya Nakshatra of the month. To make the people aware of this, the distribution of free medicines was carried out along with the distribution of pamphlets, and IQ assessment and health tests of children were also conducted.
The Swarna Prashan was administered to the children in the presence and guidance of the Principal of Government Ayurveda College Prof. Dr. G.R. Chaturvedi, Hospital Superintendent Prof. Dr. Praveen Kumar Joshi and Kaumarabhritya (Pediatrics) Department Head Prof. Dr. Neeraj Agarwal. Swarna Prashana Coordinator Dr. Lavkesh Chandravanshi informed that due to summer vacation, camps for conducting the Swarna Prashan program in schools have been postponed till further notice. On the previous Pushya Nakshatra, 831 children were administered Swarna Prashana on January 9, 1124 on February 4, 1137 on March 3, 1290 on March 29, 860 on April 27 and 835 on May 24 in Government Ayurveda College Hospital.
