Surat: Animal rearers should register their cattle in two months, the police commissioner issued a notification

The notification issued by the Surat Police to control stray cattle on the road has been extended. The notification banning the feeding of stray cattle and cattle has been issued with a time limit of two months. Under which cattle herders will have to register all their cattle under the Municipal Corporation within two months. Apart from this, the sale of fodder given to cattle on public roads, footpaths and public places has been banned.

Animal husbandry should register animals within two months

Surat City Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Tomar has once again issued a notification for cattle rearers. A special notification has been published for Gwale owners of cattle (cow, buffalo, cattle etc.) living in the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Police. Within 60 days from the publication of this announcement by the Commissioner of Police, all cattle owned by them should be tagged and chipped by the Surat Municipal Corporation. Mandatory registration of cattle has been warned.

Any change in ownership of cattle must be reported

Further, in case of change in ownership of tagged and chipped cattle, i.e. if such registered cattle are sold, mortgaged, gifted or inherited by the owner, the cattle The owners will report this to the Surat Municipal Corporation. Similarly, even if a cattle dies, its owner will have to inform the Surat Municipal Corporation.

Ban on sale of animal feed on public roads

Apart from this, under the rule of Police Commission in Surat city area, sale of fodder by any person on public roads, footpaths and public places and public feeding and keeping of animals is prohibited in the entire area. This order will be effective from 16/04/2023 to 14/06/2023. It has also been warned that those who violate this order will be punished.
