Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh (IANS)) For 27-year-old Suraj Tiwari, who secured 917th rank in the civil services examination, Tiwari, a resident of Kaswa Kuravli in Mainpuri district, is amputated in both legs and one. His success is a moment of joy for his family and the town. While returning from college in New Delhi, Suraj met with an accident at a railway station on January 29, 2017 and lost both his legs and arms above the knee. He lost his right arm just below the elbow. This left him bedridden and completely dependent on family members for his daily routine. The accident not only took away his ability to walk and write, but also left him depressed His family members said that it was the darkest phase for him. But Suraj knew that hard work was the only hope for him to shine again. Suraj graduated and is now from Jawaharlal Nehru University Pursuing his MA in Russian language, this gave him a new ray of hope, but Suraj decided that he would shine even more. Suraj started preparing for one of the toughest exams in the country during COVID-19. He cleared the UPSC written exam in his first attempt, but missed the interview by a few marks. In his second attempt, he got success in the examination. There is an atmosphere of celebration in his family since the declaration of the result.
