Srinagar: Ghulam Nabi Azad called for strengthening communal harmony
Srinagar: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) President and former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said that it is necessary that efforts are made to maintain and strengthen religious harmony as it is an essential element in unity and progress. Hailing the cultural diversity in the country, he said the co-existence of different faiths is a testament to the pluralistic fabric that defines the society. Addressing the annual day gathering at an institute in Jammu, Azad talked about the important role of girls in shaping the future. He described him as the cornerstone of our country’s progress, the party said. “Azad also stressed the need to integrate social education into the curriculum, making individuals not only academically but also socially aware and responsible,” the party said.
