Smuggling of 178 kg of doda-poppy, accused absconding

Barmer. On Sunday, in village Rani Kalla of Barmer Sadar police station, the police recovered 178 kg of doda-poppy in nine bags hidden in a fence. Its price is estimated to be around Rs 27 lakh. The accused was not found on the spot. Police is searching. Sadar police station officer Kishan Singh said that on the information of the informer, they raided the house of Junjaram son of Jogaram Jat, resident of Ranigaon Kalla and recovered the packets of doda-poppy kept hidden in his yard. Police have registered a case under NDPS Act and started searching for the accused. When the police raided, they found large plastic bags filled with poppy seeds in the enclosure. Police have recovered a total of 9 pistols from the spot. Which was filled with doda. The team has brought the goods recovered from the spot to the police station. Even after searching nearby, the accused were not found. Now a team has been formed and the smuggler is being searched.
