Shamshabad: Lorry hits auto, woman dies, two children injured

Hyderabad: A lorry hit an auto-rickshaw in Shamshabad on Tuesday night, killing a woman and injuring two others.

The victim, Fatima Zohra (40), a resident of Sulemannagar, was traveling in an auto from Shadnagar in Ranga Reddy district towards the city along with some others. When his auto reached near Shriram Weighing Bridge in Shamshabad, a lorry hit the vehicle.

Due to the collision, the woman and two other children fell on the road. While the woman died from head injuries, the other two children had a narrow escape. Shamshabad police said the children were taken to hospital and are being treated.
