Mohla. Manish Thakur, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, visited the Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki district. He visited Mohla to review the work being done during the Adi Seva Pakhwada, organized under the Central Government’s Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan.
During this period, he participated in a Gram Sabha held in Khwasphadki village of the Manpur development block. Here, he observed the work being done under the Village Vision Plan 2030 and also reviewed the village map prepared with the consent of the villagers under the Adi Seva Pakhwada, which aims to ensure the availability of basic amenities and resources.
Additional Secretary Thakur held a detailed discussion with the tribal people present regarding the main demands and needs of their village. He also spoke to the villagers about the preparation of the Village Vision Plan 2030 and explained that the objective of the Gram Sabha is to resolve problems and ensure village development through all-out participation.
He gathered important information from the tribal villagers regarding the welfare schemes being implemented for their welfare, their education level, major crops, occupations, health, ration cards, electricity, employment, forest rights certificates, and drinking water availability. The villagers demanded sub health centre, CC road, anicut and animal shed for better treatment, which was unanimously passed in the Gram Sabha.
