Science City to come up on 100 acres of land in Bhubaneswar: Odisha Minister

Bhubaneswar: Good news for the science lovers and residents of Bhubaneswar as the Odisha government has decided to establish a Science City on 100 acres of land in the Stat Capital City.

Informing about the development, Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra said that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has allocated 100 acres of land to establish a Science City in Bhubaneswar. The minister informed about it while participating in the National Technology Day celebrations today.

Patra stated that there are only two or three Science Cities in the country and the proposed Science City will come up in the Chandaka area of Bhubaneswar.

The proposed Science City is expected to play a major role in transforming Odisha into a leading center for scientific research, education, and innovation, the Minister said adding that regular events and exhibitions related to science and innovation will be organized so that the students get inspire to broaden their outlook, and nurture a scientific temperament.

The Minister also informed that science centers will be established in every district in order to strengthen the scientific ecosystem across the state.
