Punjab: Woman and son die after car collides with road divider

Punjab: A family’s car met with an accident on Bathinda-Barnala road today, in which mother and son died, while two others were injured. According to the information received, Salvinder Singh had left for Chandigarh by car this morning with his mother Gurdev Kaur, brother Kulvinder Singh and sister-in-law Geeta. The car went out of control on the bridge near Tapa Mandi and collided with the divider. With the help of social workers, the injured were taken to Tapa Mandi Civil Hospital, where Kulvinder Singh and Gurdev Kaur were declared dead. Salvinder Singh runs an HP gas agency, while Kulvinder Singh was a government teacher. His wife Geeta is also a government teacher. It is being told that Kulvinder Singh was driving the car. Family sources said that Salvinder and Geeta are being brought to Sri Ganganagar for treatment.
