Punjab: Policeman died in a road accident

Punjab: Assistant Sub-Inspector Sohan Lal Ghodela (54), who was out on a morning walk, was hit by a car near the police line gate on Sri Ganganagar-Abohar Road, killing him. Constable Narinder Kumar was returning from a wedding ceremony with his family when the car went out of control and hit Sohan Lal. Sohan Lal died despite being taken to the hospital. A case of death due to negligence has been registered against Constable Narinder Kumar based on the statement of Sohan Lal’s son Amit. After the post-mortem, Sohan Lal’s body was brought back to the police line, where Superintendent of Police Gaurav Yadav, Additional Superintendent of Police Raghuveer Sharma and other senior officers along with a large number of policemen paid tribute to him. Sohan Lal Ghodela is survived by his wife, son and two daughters. He was working in the crime branch of the Superintendent of Police office in Sri Ganganagar.
