Punjab: Combine harvester driver dies due to electric shock

Punjab: The driver of a combine harvester died of electrocution when the machine accidentally touched high-voltage electricity wires in Jandwala Mira Sangla village, 24 km from here. The deceased Sandeep (36) belonged to the same village. Sandeep’s family said he was married nine years ago and worked as a combine operator. He was harvesting paddy in a farmer’s field late last evening when the machine touched overhead electricity wires. Sandeep sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Abohar civil hospital where doctors declared him dead. The body was handed over to the family today.
