Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chhattisgarh tomorrow

Raipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chhattisgarh on November 1st. At approximately 10:00 a.m., as part of the “Dil Ki Baat” program, the Prime Minister will interact with 2,500 children who have been successfully treated for congenital heart diseases at the “Gift of Life” ceremony at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. At approximately 10:45 a.m., the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Brahma Kumaris’ “Shanti Shikhar,” a modern center for spiritual education, peace, and meditation. At approximately 11:45 a.m., the Prime Minister will unveil the statue of Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, at the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Following this, he will inaugurate the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building, which is built on a green building concept and is planned to be fully solar-powered and equipped with a rainwater harvesting system. He will also address the gathering on this occasion. At approximately 1:30 p.m., the Prime Minister will inaugurate and visit the Martyr Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum. The museum will preserve and showcase the heritage of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the state’s tribal communities. The Prime Minister will launch the museum portal and e-book “Adi Shaurya” in honor of freedom fighters and unveil the equestrian statue of Martyr Veer Narayan Singh at the memorial site. At around 2:30 p.m., the Prime Minister will then participate in the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee Celebrations, commemorating 25 years of the formation of the state of Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for developmental and transformative projects worth over ₹14,260 crore across key sectors such as roads, industry, healthcare, and energy.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate 12 new Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP) blocks in nine districts of Chhattisgarh to strengthen rural livelihoods. The Prime Minister will participate in the Griha Pravesh (house warming ceremony) of 3.51 lakh completed houses and release installments worth ₹1,200 crore to 3 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), ensuring dignified housing and security for rural families across the state. To boost connectivity, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a four-lane Greenfield Highway from Pathalgaon-Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border. It is being developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under the Bharatmala Pariyojana at a cost of approximately ₹3,150 crore. This strategic corridor will connect major coal mines, industrial areas, and steel plants in Korba, Raigarh, Jashpur, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur. It will serve as a major economic route, strengthening regional trade ties and integrating Central India with the Eastern region.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the construction and upgradation of National Highway 130D (Narayanpur-Kasturmeta-Kutul-Nilangur-Maharashtra Border), spanning several sections in Bastar and Narayanpur districts. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the upgradation of National Highway 130C (Madangmuda-Deobhog-Odisha Border) to a two-lane highway with paved shoulders. This will significantly enhance road connectivity in tribal and remote areas, improve access to healthcare, education, and markets, and promote socio-economic development in remote areas. In the power sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Inter-Regional ER-WR Interconnection Project, which will increase inter-regional power transfer capacity between the Eastern and Western Grids by 1,600 MW, improving grid reliability and ensuring stable power supply across the region. The Prime Minister will also dedicate, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone for several energy sector projects worth over ₹3,750 crore, aimed at strengthening Chhattisgarh’s power infrastructure, improving supply reliability, and enhancing transmission capacity.

The Prime Minister will dedicate works worth approximately ₹1,860 crore under the Revitalized Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). These include construction of new power lines, bifurcation of feeders, installation of transformers, conversion of conductors, and strengthening of low-tension networks to improve rural and agricultural power supply. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate nine new power substations constructed at a cost of approximately ₹480 crore in districts such as Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Bemetara, Gariaband, and Bastar. These will benefit over 1.5 million people by ensuring stable voltage, reducing power outages, and providing reliable power even in remote and tribal areas. Additionally, to further enhance power access and quality in the state, the foundation stone will be laid for new substations and transmission projects worth over ₹1,415 crore, including major facilities in Kanker and Balodabazar-Bhatapara, along with new RDSS works in several districts.

In the petroleum and natural gas sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate HPCL’s state-of-the-art Petroleum and Natural Gas plant in Raipur.
